How do husbands/wives, girlfriends/boyfriends handle differences in political views?

I always say never talk politics or religon with the people you love.....someone always gets hurt feelings......okay probably not the best answer but I try to remember everyone has a right to have their own opinion. Thats what makes this country so great.
