America and the western countries -why don't they support poor countries ?

how come that the rich countries like the USA and the western world - why don't they support poor nations such as Africa and Asia. How can it be that there is so many poor people in the world that are dying of hunger and basic illnesses that can be cured and why do these rich nations only care for themselves - i could get sick of listening to these people who complain that their life isn't ideal when they are rich and then there is poor people on the other side who die from basic illnesses that can be cured easily through little funding. Or when local councils discuss projects to improve shopping experiences and build better shopping malls or better and more luxurious public transport systems when really the poor people in Africa and Asia would really need that money to support themselves. It just isn't fair, is it? With this i just wanted to really express my disgust for these nations who think that they are not well off when they have all the money they need and other poor nations who can't do anything than see their people dying away...
